​24th Young Confucius Cultural Camp: Learn from the past, prepare for the future: Thrive​ in the VUCA world ​

Join us this June holiday as we open the doorway to Chinese history and culture through fun-filled activities in class. 
Journey to the past and learn from sages and classics; be amazed by how ancient Chinese wisdom can be applied to prepare you for a challenge-filled VUCA world. Apply the art of balance and harmony; adapt strategies learnt in outdoor and indoor activities to simulated real-world problems as you have fun in camp with us!

Discovering Confucius Camp (5 -  7 Years old)​

Develop reasoning skills and have fun with Mandarin! 

  • Through interesting stories, develop students’ thinking and reasoning skills which can be applied in daily life. 
  • Nurture an interest in the language through a series of word games where students learn through play! 

​​Discover the aesthetics of Chinese characters; be amazed with the interplay of strokes. 

  • Through various games and activities, develop an aesthetic sense of the harmony and equilibrium in Chinese characters.
  • ​Cultivate interest in Chinese characters and build word recognition and writing capabilities. 

Get your fingers moving, create your own marionette 

  • ​Develop students’ dexterity by creating a marionette from scratch. 
  • Find the equilibrium, synchronize your hands and fingers, move your marionette around in a short skit. 

Develop moral values, put kindness in action

  • ​Through classical stories, learn from virtuous people, cultivate moral values and adopt the attitude of extoling one’s good deeds. 
  • Encourage students to express themselves, hone speaking skills through simulated role-plays​. 

The Bossaball Challenge: Test of Balance and Co-ordination

  • ​Experience Bossaball* and hone your balancing skills. 
  • Cultivate teamwork and build up your agility and strength through the games.

*Bossaball is a new sport that combines elements of volleyball, soc​​cer and acrobatics and is played on an inflatable fitted with trampolines. 

Delighting Confucius Camp (8 - 12 years old)

Appreciate the Three Kingdoms, Master the Chinese Language

  • Appreciate the Three Kingdoms: Be inspired by the formidable strategies of the canonical Romance of the Three Kingdoms, develop future thinking skills to mitigate challenges of our complex world
  • Master the Chinese language: Comprehend allusions and idioms from the notable stories of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, cultivate an interest in reading.

Acquaint with strategies from the Three Kingdoms, overcome challenges with balance and harmony

  • Be acquainted with strategies from the Three Kingdoms:Apply strategies learnt from Three Kingdoms and enhance students’ oratorical skills through simulated scenarios.
  • Overcome challenges with balance and harmony: Grasp wisdom of balance and harmony;  engage in games depicting VUCA scenarios, employ critical thinking and expression skills to surmount the challenges.  

Understand ancient charioteering, build your own majestic chariot!

  • ​Understand charioteering in ancient times: Learn about different chariots and its commanders. Enhance listening and speaking skills through a series of games. 
  • Build your own majestic chariot: Create a unique chariot from scratch by applying balancing and co-ordination skills.
