Top Chinese Enrichment Programme - Secondary Level 

Learning Objectives
The Top Chinese Enrichment Programme (TCEP) is designed in accordance with the MOE Secondary School Syllabus. It is reviewed regularly so that students will benefit from efficient learning approaches and guiding concepts. Through our enrichment classes, resources and repertoire of teaching strategies, we aim to help every student establish a good linguistic foundation, cultivate an enduring interest in learning the language, develop lifelong communication skills and be motivated to achieve academic excellence. 

Programme Features

  • Vocabulary revision and expansion ​
    Enhance sense of language through revision and expansion of the vocabulary bank.
  • Composition writing and functional writing 
    ​Learn to write compositions and functional writings confidently from writing techniques, brainstorming sessions and discussions.
  • Reading comprehension and summary writing
    Develop vital reading, analytical and summarizing skills to approach comprehension and summary questions.
  • Cultural insights
    Gain cultural knowledge from Chinese classics.
  • Chinese booster
    Nurture appreciation towards Chinese culture through a selection of enthralling short stories from Journey to the WestRomance of the Three KingdomsDream of the Red Chamber and other classical Chinese novels.

Total 4 terms, 10 sessions per term 

Academic Board
The academic board comprises lecturers from Confucius Institute, NTU, graduates of the Diploma in Teaching Chinese Language awarded by the Institute, current school teachers and professional educators.

A certificate of attendance will be awarded to students who attend 30 or more lessons within a year.
