C​ompany Description:
Confucius Institute, Nanyang Technological University (CI-NTU) is jointly established by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). It is the first Chinese language and culture school in Singapore co-sponsored by the Chinese central government.

CI-NTU is currently seeking for: 

1) Executive Officer (Adult Programme)

Job Description

  • ​Assist Supervisor in the development of content for various student programmes and events management.
  • Assist Supervisor in the implementation of government new initiatives for the Institute; SkillsFuture (SF) and National Silver Award (NSA) collaborations.
  • Manage programme administration, operations and logistical arrangements to ensure smooth facilitation of lessons.
  • ​Perform front desk enquiries including pre-programme consultation, enrolments (print/online) and payment collections.
  • Maintenance and stock-taking of marketing and creative collaterals.
  • Managing the material resources and stock-taking of publications.
  • Manage teaching materials; review and co-ordinate the production of programme materials​.
  • Facilities Management: classroom scheduling and cleanliness of the rooms
  • To execute related job functions and duties as assigned by the Management, particularly on institute-wide events, ad hoc projects & weekend duties (if any).
  • Maintain teacher, student database and contents on the website.

Job Requirements

  • ​​Diploma / Degree in fields of Chinese, Linguistics or Education
  • Min 2 years of working experience
  • Strong project management skills & experience working across groups
  • Outgoing and enjoy interacting with people
  • Has interest and passion to work with children
  • Meticulous and able to multi-task
  • Confident in public speaking
  • Great interpersonal skills with "team player" attitude
  • Knowledge in the educational industry will be an advantage
  • Require to work on Saturday
  • Effectively bilingual (English / Mandarin)

2)  Executive Officer (Student / Cultural Programme)

Job Description

  • ​Handle programme administration, operations and logistical arrangements to ensure smooth facilitation of lessons, including claiming of government subsidies for eligible students.
  • Manage and ensure smooth operations of the  department with responsibilities for the planning, budgeting, marketing, execution, curriculum, performance and development of the department, including its programmes, trainers, equipments and teaching materials.
  • Perform front desk enquiries including pre-programme consultation, enrolments and payment collections.
  • Manage student database.
  • Taking part in curriculum matters.
  • Maintenance and stocktaking of marketing and creative collaterals.
  • Participate in institute-wide activities, e.g. forums and events, etc.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements

    • ​​Min Diploma / Degree (preferably Major in Chinese Language)
    • Min 2 years of working experience in the education industry is preferred
    • Strong problem-solving, planning and organizing skills
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
    • Ability to build good customer rapport and manage customers’ expectations
    • Effectively bilingual, oral and written is critical due to the extensive liaison required with both internal and external parties

    3) Chinese Language teachers (part-time) (Student Programme) 

    Positions available for Preschool, Primary and Secondary school levels.​
    Requirements:

    • At least a degree specialized in the field of Chinese, Education or Linguistics from a reputable institution. 
    • Prior teaching experience (2 – 3 years)
      PGDE (NIE) or equivalent holders preferred 
      * Experience in GEP and IB programme is advantageous
    • Passionate and Dynamic 
    • Able to work on weekends 
    • Applicable to Singaporeans and SPRs only

    4) Associate Trainers (part-time) (Adult Chinese Learning Programme)

    Requirements:

    • ​​​Possess at least a Bachelor Degree or above qualification, preferably in Chinese Studies, Chinese Language or Applied Linguistics (Chinese), from a respectable university.
    • Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) certified is an advantage.
    • At least 3 years of experience in teaching Chinese Language or Chinese culture to adult learners.
    • Effectively bilingual in Mandarin and English
    • Chinese Proficiency: Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC), or Oral Chinese Proficiency for Working Professionals (OCPA)
    • English Proficiency: GCE O’Level, or TOELF, or IELTS, or English Workplace Literacy (English WPL)
    • Applicable to Singaporeans and SPRs only
